Gabriel Martinelli was substituted in the first-half during the defeat against Brighton on Sunday following a strong tackle from Moises Caicedo.
The Brighton midfielder took to Twitter this week to apologise for the tackle which is set to keep the Brazilian sidelined for the remainder of the season.
If I could turn back time I wouldn’t have made that bad tackle.🤷🏽♂️

Gabriel Martinelli was forced out of action in the first half against with Leandro Trossard replacing the Brazilian for the remainder of the game.
The Arsenal winger was seen in a protective boot while on the pitch at full-time. This was a concerning sight for many Arsenal fans.

After full-time, an Arsenal fan spoke to the head of Medical, Gary O’Driscoll who provided a positive update on the Brazilian…
“He’s a bit sore, but he should be okay. Yeah, I think he’ll be back before the end of the season.”
With only a couple of games left of the season, Gabriel Martinelli is one goal away from becoming the highest scoring Brazilian in a single Premier League season. He is currently on 15 goals and he needs 16 to break Bobby Firmino’s record.
Martinelli and I’m sure the Arsenal fans are hoping he gets an opportunity to break the record in Arsenal’s last two games of the season.
The Gunners will face Nottingham Forest this weekend, before hosting Wolves at the Emirates Stadium to bring the 2022/23 campaign to a close.
