Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed the club where he enjoyed his football the most at during his career., saying he even went to training on his days off.

The striker spent time at many top European clubs throughout his career, including the likes of AC Milan, AS Monaco, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, FC Barcelona, Chelsea and Marseille.

The 34-year-old played the most games in Germany for Borussia Dortmund where he made 213 appearances across a four year period, scoring 141 goals. He also spent four years in North London with Arsenal, playing 163 games and scoring 92 goals. However surprisingly neither club was the one where he enjoyed his football the most.

The Gabon international actually says the best period of his career was in Spain with Barcelona, who he joined from Arsenal in January 2022.

The 34-year-old made 24 appearance during his one year in Spain and scored 13 goals. Aubameyang enjoyed a particularly strong run of form in front of goal during his time at Barcelona, however it didn’t last long as he joined Chelsea a year later where he only scored three goals in 21 appearances for the West London club.

For a player who had a major role in winning trophies with Saint-Etienne, Borussia Dortmund, and Arsenal, you’d think those moments would stand out above all others.

Especially his time in North London with his good friend, Alex Lacazette. The pair enjoyed a very successful period together under Unai Emery at the Emirates Stadium, however his time in Barcelona is apparently the period he enjoyed the most.
