Patrick Vieira has tipped Arsenal to go on and win the Premier League title this season.

Arsenal Legend and current Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has tipped his former club to win the Premier League title this season and states that it’s now Arsenal’s title to lose.

The Invincibles captain definitely knows what it feels like to be in a title race and his words can only bring belief to this young Arsenal side who are performing way ahead of schedule right now.

Patrick Vieira praised Mikel Arteta and his team for the way they responded after going three games without a win & how they showed character to come from behind twice at Villa Park to get all three points. The Crystal Palace boss praised the young guns and their mentality to not give up while losing, which translated into them scoring two late goals.

Patrick Vieira on the title race:

“I think the Premier League title is Arsenal’s to lose now, to be honest. They are just in a really good place at the moment, with a lot of confidence.”

He also backed Manchester City, saying that they won’t give up on the chase until the final game of the season, but tips Arsenal to win the league.

Crystal Palace are yet to face Arsenal and Manchester City in the second half of the season, with them hosting Manchester City on 11th of March , and travelling to The Emirates just eight days later on 19th of March. Patrick Vieira’s side could still have a big say on the title race, depending on how them results finish come March.

Patrick Vieira was the captain in the last season The Gunners won the league, which was all the way back in 2004, in their legendary Invincibles season where they finished on 90 points, winning 26 games and drawing 12 games.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are only one point behind the famous Invincibles after 23 games played, as shown in the graphic below.
