This morning all around social media, Arsenal fans are going crazy about a recent Instagram post related to Mykhaylo Mudryk – and for good reason.
The Ukranian winger has been heavily linked with a January move to North London and has liked a very interesting Instagram post posted by an Arsenal fanpage.
Arsenal fans have been urging the board to speed up the process of getting Mudryk’s signing over the line and this morning’s actions by the Ukranian are giving Gunners supporters high hopes of their club landing him.
It looks like Mudryk is deciding to take the matter into his own hands and is seemingly actively seeking a move to Arsenal as he hit the ‘like’ button on a humorous meme depicting the winger being held in prison by his club, with the caption #FreeMudryk posted by @arsenal_memes__
This is not Mudryk’s first engagement with Arsenal on social media, since he has already posted an image on his own Instagram of him watching The Gunners 3-1 win against West Ham on Boxing Day and again when they played Brighton and Hove Albion, as well as openly praising Mikel Arteta and Roberto De Zerbi when he described them both as top coaches.
As revealed by Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin, the Ukranian squad have been joking with Mudryk, saying that he has already joined Arsenal. Trubin also praised Mudryk for not letting the media attention affect his performances on the pitch this season, which have been nothing short of sensational; scoring 7 and assisting 7 goals in 12 appearances in the Ukranian Premier League this season.
Today is also Mudryk’s 22nd birthday and I think there wouldn’t be a better birthday present for him than to accept the offer from Arsenal, which would see him move to North London for an estimated €80m.
Let’s all wish Mykhaylo Mudryk a happy birthday and let’s hope we all see him soon in the famous red and white shirt.
