A video has surfaced online of Emile Smith Rowe getting a new tattoo which Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta will love.

Emile Smith Rowe tattoo reads ‘Confía en el proceso’ in Spanish which means ‘trust the process’ in English – Mikel Arteta’s famous phrase that he’s used many times during his managerial career at Arsenal so far.

Emile Smith Rowe is expected to stay at Arsenal and play a much bigger role in the team under Mikel Arteta next season. This tattoo certainly shows the intentions of Arsenal’s number ten which is to fight for his place in the team, rather than looking for another club this summer. He still clearly believes Mikel Arteta is the man to get the best out of him.

Smith Rowe has had an injury hit season that has reduced him to just 14 appearances for the club this season. And even when he’s been available, he’s seemingly been really low down on the pecking order. With reports linking Arsenal to Leicester City’s James Maddison, many assumed that would spell the end for Smith Rowe.

But David Ornstein has now taken to The Athletic and provided what is a major boost for fans of Smith Rowe. There’s undoubtedly a top quality player there in Smith Rowe. He has already shown Gunners fans what he can do when he was linking up beautifully with the likes of Bukayo Saka before his injury.

The 22-year-old was one of Arsenal’s best players during the 2021/22 campaign. Smith Rowe featured in 33 Premier League games, scoring 10 goals and recording 2 assists. Unfortunately he couldn’t replicate the same form in 2022/23, however Mikel Arteta has a plan to ensure the player is back to his best next season.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that they’ll see more of the same from Smith Rowe next season now that it seems that he’s be at Emirates for the foreseeable future.
