Arsenal delivered a dominant performance against Newcastle United in the Premier League, leaving Mikel Arteta satisfied.

The Gunners bounced back impressively on Saturday evening following their recent defeat to Porto in the Champions League round of 16 first leg.

At the Emirates on Saturday night, Arsenal took the lead courtesy of an own goal from Sven Botman, with Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, and Jakub Kiwior also finding the target in the victory. Despite a late consolation goal from former Arsenal player Joe Willock, it had little impact on the outcome of the game.

In the post-match interview, Arteta expressed his satisfaction, stating he was happy about “everything.” He praised the team’s positive start, aggression, and continuous attacking momentum throughout the game.

Arteta highlighted the players’ relentless attitude and the electric atmosphere at the stadium during the clash against a strong opponent like Newcastle United.

Arteta said: “Everything. The way we started, the positivity we showed, the aggression we showed. We kept going forward, scoring a goal early in the first half, then got a second, third, fourth one – the team never wanted to stop. You could feel there was something in them today and the atmosphere was phenomenal to play in a big game against a really good opponent.

“We know that they’re not out of it at 2-0, they’re a good team with a lot of good resources to create issues for you and we knew we had to get the game done and we did that. I’m really happy with the performance against a Newcastle team who are really, really good.”

Arsenal have now scored 18 goals in four Premier League matches this month, showcasing their offensive prowess and formidable attacking capabilities as they compete for the title.
