Leandro Trossard joined Arsenal in the January transfer window a couple of moths ago and has spoken out on potentially winning the Premier League title this season.

He was signed immediately after Arsenal lost out on the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk. However, he has proved to be a valuable addition to the squad.

Trossard proved in his time at Brighton that he is a very capable player. He is also extremely versatile up front and can play on either sides of the wing and as a striker as well.

However, Trossard has suggested that he is taken away by how quickly he has settled in the team…

“I maybe didn’t expect to make that many minutes, but injuries helped me a bit. I’m however more than convinced of my own capabilities.”

Trossard said, while speaking at a national team press conference on Wednesday…

“I arrived in a great group, filled with great players. That also makes it easier for new players to adapt and reach their levels. It was a very busy and weird period for me, but I’m very happy that I have been able to join Arsenal. I think it’s been a great step for me.”

Since joining in January, Trossard has scored  on only one occasion, but has assisted a total of 6 times in the 10 games he has played. His ability to play across the front line has provided Arsenal with high quality depth.

When asked about Arsenal’s chances of winning the league title, he said…

“We all know how difficult it is to win the league, looking at Man City and Liverpool in recent years, but I think we have a great squad and that we have proven time and time again that we’re doing well.

There are 10 matches left, we’ll see where we end once the season finishes.”

Leandro Trossard has proved that he is of great quality and capable of playing in the starting eleven of Arsenal. His addition to the squad has contributed to Arsenal’s chances of grabbing their first Premier League title in more than a decade.
