Arsenal returned to the summit of the Premier League table with a 2-0 win against Wolves at the Molineux on Saturday.

That victory and a standout performance from one Arsenal star has earned praise from former footballer Jamie Redknapp, who is impressed with the player’s “great football brain.”

Following a challenging week marred by a defeat to Aston Villa and a Champions League exit against Bayern Munich, Mikel Arteta’s side faced a stern test against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Despite Wolves’ commendable form throughout the campaign, Arsenal showcased their resilience at Molineux. Leandro Trossard’s late first-half strike set the tone, with Martin Odegaard sealing the victory with a crucial goal in the dying minutes.

Redknapp, speaking on Sky Sports, expressed his admiration for Odegaard’s impact, describing him as a “brilliant signing” who possesses a “great football brain.” The 25-year-old midfielder’s ability to dictate play and maintain composure under pressure has been instrumental in Arsenal’s recent successes.

“The captain, the leader – I have been so impressed with him,” he said. “I just think he has got such a great football brain. Whenever he is on it, the game stands still. He never panics, he always makes the right pass, he has been a brilliant signing.”

With four goals in his last nine Premier League appearances, Odegaard continues to lead by example for Arteta’s side. Against Wolves, he showcased his creative prowess, contributing three key passes, second only to Declan Rice.

As Arsenal navigate through a crucial phase of the season, Odegaard’s consistent performances offer hope and inspiration to teammates and fans alike.
