Arsenal’s new signing, Jakub Kiwior joined the Gunners in January from Italian side, Spezia for a fee of £25million.
He hasn’t been in North London long but according to Chris Wheatley, he’s already made his mark as he’s broken new records in some training ground drills at London Colney this week.
According to The London World, the 22-year-old has set new records in fastest short sprint, highest agility jump and standing spring record.
Bukayo Saka was the previous most effective high speed runner in the team with Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin also featuring on the list in previous years.
Former defender Bellerin broke Theo Walcott’s 40-metre sprint record by 1/100th in 2015, running 40 metres in 4.41 seconds.
Kiwior provides some much needed squad depth for Mikel Arteta’s side and with the Polish man’s versatility, as he can play at centre back or in midfield, he’s a great option to have for the remainder of the season
It’s been said he has already impressed his teammates and coaching staff at London Colney since his arrival last month.
