Although all Arsenal fans are still waiting for the official announcement regarding Bukayo Saka’s contract extension, there is a feeling it’s a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’ & Aaron Ramsdale has backed up that feeling.
Aaron Ramsdale thinks there’s nothing to worry about with Bukayo Saka’s contract, and the winger will be at Arsenal for a long time.
Bukayo Saka’s current Arsenal deal runs out in the summer of 2024 & Mikel Arteta has been desperate to get his number seven tied down to a new long-term contract since the start of the year.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Aaron Ramsdale suggested he never felt there was anything to worry about with Saka, even if the deal had run much closer to its expiry.
“Bukayo is an Arsenal player and will be for a long time. If he had one week left I wouldn’t be worried about him being here. If he had until the end of the season, I would still see him here on the first day of pre-season.
I’m fairly relaxed with Bukayo, let him crack on with his team and the club sort it out and then we move forward. It is obviously not affecting him, that is why he is not rushing into anything and when it does settle we know we have him for longer than we do at the minute.”
Arsenal seem to be just getting back into a position where they can challenge for the biggest trophies & Bukayo Saka is key to that, with him scoring ten Premier League goals so far this season, as well as grabbing nine assists.
