Despite the recent 1-0 win showcased by Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester City which means Arsenal hold onto a five-point difference, this doesn’t takeaway the fact that Arsenal lost to the Toffees at Goodison Park two years in a row now after yesterday’s defeat.

However Ian Wright has indicated that the Gunners should ‘learn quickly and move on from the setback’ after Arsenal suffered only their second league defeat of the season.

The Gunners have not been in this kind of position since ‘The Invincibles’ 19 years ago and need to learn quickly in order to maintain the title challenge they’ve put together over the first 20 games.

Mikel Arteta’s side needs to move on from any negative result as quickly as possible to resist any complacency mid-season. Due to the unlikely title charge Arsenal find themselves in, the club has done a good job of withstanding the pressure of being the top of the league so far, however they must maintain this if it is to mean something come May.

Arsenal still find themselves in the same position as when the weekend started, thanks to their North London rivals beating Manchester City this evening by one goal to nil.

Ian Wright knows how to win a Premier League trophy, and he’s the perfect man for the Arsenal players to listen to. Ian Wright posted on his Twitter after the game stating:

“Everton deserved that. We have to learn from it and move on. Top of the league, everyone is going to be up for playing us. Half chances are key in these types of games. Lots for the team to take away from the defeat. We go again, boys! Give Sean Dyche his flowers.”

Ian Wright also funnily posted an Emoji of a smiley face after Tottenham Hotspur won 1-0 after a record-breaking Harry Kane goal.
