After beating FC Midtjylland 5-1 on aggregate, Sporting CP find themselves in the Europa League round-of-16. The Portuguese side will face Arsenal after the draw was completed in Switzerland last week.
Because of this draw, Hector Bellerin now finds himself returning to The Emirates representing Sporting Lisbon this year. The Spanish full-back spent near enough a decade at Arsenal after leaving last season to join FC Barcelona.
After Tottenham snapped up Pedro Porro, Sporting Lisbon needed a replacement and Hector Bellerin was their choice. Only joining Sporting in January, Hector Bellerin is quick to return to his old home.
After Bellerin saw the Europa League draw, he went straight to Instagram. The Spaniard reposted Sporting’s post about the draw with love heart emoji in white, red and green with a house emoji, showing he is returning home.
