Gabriel Magalhaes has expressed his admiration for playing alongside one particular Arsenal teammate, highlighting the player’s consistency and evolution during their time together at the club.

As Arsenal continues to solidify its position as contenders for the Premier League title, Gabriel Magalhaes believes they are on the path to establishing themselves as a formidable force.

The team’s defensive solidity has been instrumental in their success, with Arsenal boasting an impressive six consecutive away clean sheets in the Premier League.

While much attention has been rightfully directed towards the performances of Gabriel and William Saliba, Magalhaes highlighted the contributions of Ben White, particularly since his £50 million move to the club. White’s versatility, notably in his transition to right-back, has been a revelation, showcasing his defensive capabilities as well as his ability to contribute in attack.

In the 5-0 victory over Chelsea FC on Tuesday night, Ben White was one of the standout performers for Arsenal.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Magalhaes praised White’s growth and consistency during his time at Arsenal, emphasising his unwavering high level of performance.

“Since Ben arrived at Arsenal, I think he’s been a very good player. He’s a very consistent player, he plays every match,” he remarked. “I think his consistency has grown; he’s not a player who performs at one level in one match and at a different level in another match. He’s always at a high level, and I am happy to play with him.”

Magalhaes’s endorsement of White’s development underscores the unexpected transformation the player has undergone since joining Arsenal. Initially signed to partner with Gabriel in central defense, White’s adaptability has proven invaluable, forming a formidable defensive trio alongside Saliba.

With both Gabriel and White at 26 years old, there remains ample opportunity for further improvement within Arsenal’s defensive ranks. Their dominance, particularly in the latter stages of the season, poses a daunting challenge for their rivals and signals promising prospects for the team’s future defensive capabilities.
