After three defeats in a row and only one win in their last seven matches, Arsenal have been provided with a much needed boost as they head to Dubai for a warm weather training camp this week.

Mikel Arteta has been guiding his team through a mini-injury crisis with Thomas Partey, Jurrien Timber, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira all suffering injuries at some point over the last month.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has since returned from injury, however remains unavailable as he’s currently representing Japan at the Asia Cup which could run until the end of January, depending on how far his country goes in the tournament.

The good news for Arsenal is Thomas Partey is getting ever closer to a return with the midfielder not featuring for the Gunners since the end of October. The 30-year-old is expected back in action by the end of the month which represents a huge boost for Mikel Arteta’s team.

That’s not the only boost Arsenal have received this week, with Gabriel Jesus’ return date now revealed. According to reports, the Brazilian is expected to return after the trip to Dubai following the knee issue which kept him out of the FA Cup clash against Liverpool last week.

The injury to Jesus is believed to be ‘minor’ and he’s not expected to miss anymore matches for the Gunners. The Brazilian might have only scored three Premier League goals so far this season, however there’s no denying Arsenal a better team with Gabriel Jesus in the side.

Kai Havertz done well against Liverpool as the number nine, but he can’t do what Gabriel Jesus can & Eddie Nketiah has been struggling to find form since his hat-trick against Sheffield United a couple of months ago.

Getting Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus back from injury is arguably better than any signing Arsenal could possibly make this month. They’re two players who are vital to Mikel Arteta’s system, and with the game against Liverpool slowly approaching after the break, it provides Arsenal with a great opportunity to get back into the title race.
