Former Liverpool defender, Jose Enrique has said on his Twitter account that Arsenal playmaker Martin Odegaard is the best midfielder currently in the Premier League at the moment.

Redknapp, a former Tottenham midfielder, said on Sky Sports that, at the moment, Arsenal and Norway international playmaker Odegaard is the best midfielder in the Premier League & And Enrique has a similar opinion on the 24-year-old.

It’s not really a surprise considering how well the Norwegian has performed for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this season.
Mikel Arteta made Martin Ødegaard his Arsenal captain last season & the player has been leading with his performances on the pitch ever since. The Norwegian has 10 goals and 6 assists in the Premier League this season, which is the same amount of goal contributions as Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.
Jamie Redknapp & Jose Enrique weren’t the only ones to praise Martin Ødegaard this weekend. Former Arsenal player, Paul Merson said this about the Arsenal captain…
“Ødegaard is the best midfielder in the Premier League. He has more effect on Arsenal than Kevin de Bruyne has on Man City.”
It’s hard to disagree with anything the former Premier League players have said regarding Martin Ødegaard.
If Arsenal go on and win their first league title in 19 years, then there’s no doubt the Arsenal captain will be in the conversation for Premier League player of the season come May.
