Former Tottenham player, Aaron Lennon was a fan favourite during his time in North London and it’s fair to say he had a few run-ins with Arsenal over the years.

The winger made 362 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, scoring 29 goals and recording 78 assists during his time at the club. Lennon famously scored in the 4-4 draw between the two London rivals back in 2008.

As a Spurs player, Lennon grew a strong dislike to Arsenal, however didn’t stop him admitting one current player under Mikel Arteta that he absolutely loves right now.

Lennon says that while there isn’t much he likes about Arsenal, he is indeed a huge fan of Bukayo Saka.

Pundit says Gabriel Martinelli is better than Bukayo Saka

Aaron Lennon on Bukayo Saka: “I think Saka is another one, those two are the first two on my teamsheet, and Harry Kane also, he has to play. I love Saka. I don’t love a lot about Arsenal, I won’t lie to you, but Saka, I love watching him, he’s so consistent.

“I love the way he mixes his game up, he can do everything, I’d love him to beat his man without the ball as well, but he’s so consistent.”

Surprisingly at just 22-years-old, Bukayo Saka has already scored more goals for Arsenal, than Aaron Lennon scored for Tottenham despite having played nearly 200 less games. The Arsenal man has scored 44 goals in 196 appearance for the Gunners so it’s no surprise Aaron Lennon is a big fan of the England winger.

Bukayo Saka’s talent is clear and while Aaron Lennon may be reluctant to praise the club he plays for, he can’t help but support the player himself.

As well as his ability, Bukayo Saka has a great personality and is a very likely person off the pitch as well. The Arsenal winger continues to grow on & off the pitch, with him now being part of the Arsenal leadership group as of this season.

He’s one of his country’s best players right now so it’s no surprise Aaron Lennon loves watching him play.
