Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard took a delightful detour from his usual social media routine, sharing intimate moments with his girlfriend, Helene Spilling, and their adorable puppy on Instagram.

The 25-year-old Norwegian, who made his relationship with Spilling public last summer with a pitch-side embrace, showcased his personal side in a series of snapshots that included cuddling with his dancer partner and their furry companion. Odegaard, followed by six million fans on Instagram, typically shares glimpses of his professional life, focusing on training sessions and game-related content.

While the couple previously shared glimpses of their life, lounging in the sun and strolling through the Emirates tunnel, their recent post on Tuesday (February 27) highlighted the joyous addition of a playful puppy. The images captured Odegaard holding the canine companion and enjoying a leisurely bike ride in a park.

Spilling, a 27-year-old dancer and winner of ‘Skal vi Danse,’ Norway’s version of Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, is also a social media sensation with 135,000 followers on Instagram. She regularly shares her dance skills and experiences from the popular show on her profile.

Odegaard’s recent foray into sharing personal moments on social media comes amid Arsenal’s impressive form in the Premier League, boasting a six-match winning streak, including a convincing 4-1 victory over Newcastle United on February 24.

The Arsenal talisman faced scrutiny last month for what some perceived as excessive celebrations after their win against Liverpool. Responding to criticism from pundits like Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville, Odegaard defended the team’s jubilant post-match reactions.

“If you’re not allowed to celebrate when you win a game, when are you allowed to celebrate? We’re happy with the win, and we’ll stay humble. It was a massive game. We showed up. The fans were unbelievable. I think we all did this together. Brilliant to see.”
