Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has boldly predicted that Arsenal will secure a comfortable victory over Manchester United in their upcoming Premier League encounter.

With Mikel Arteta’s squad riding a wave of four consecutive wins, Fabregas believes the Gunners are currently too formidable for their rivals.

Arsenal, currently perched atop the Premier League table with a slim one-point lead over second-placed Manchester City, are poised to extend their title charge as they prepare to face a struggling Manchester United side at Old Trafford on Sunday.

United, reeling from a crushing 4-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace, have won just one of their last seven league matches, presenting an opportune moment for Arsenal to capitalise.

Expressing his confidence in Arsenal’s ability to dominate the forthcoming fixture, Fabregas shared his insights on the Planet Premier League podcast. “I consider it a big game, Arsenal v United, United v Arsenal, they have always been special games,” remarked the former Spanish international.

“It’s true, United at the moment are not at the level that they were in the past, we can all agree with that. I can see Arsenal being too strong for them at the moment.”

Fabregas emphasised Arsenal’s cohesive playstyle, confidence, and experience as pivotal factors that could secure them a comfortable victory over their opponents. While acknowledging the historical significance and stature of Manchester United, Fabregas remained steadfast in his belief that Arsenal’s current form would prove insurmountable.

Looking ahead to Manchester City’s clash with Fulham, Fabregas cautioned that the encounter might present challenges for Pep Guardiola’s side despite Fulham’s mid-table position.

“Fulham is a tricky one for Manchester City,” he remarked. “They are playing well, they have a very good team and they have good players.”
