Bukayo Saka was very happy to see one Arsenal loanee score his first goal yesterday, after commenting on his instagram post after the game.

22-year-old, Tyreece John-Jules joined League One side Derby County in the summer, however he’s not had an easy start to life at his new club.

The Arsenal loanee picked up an injury in August which caused him to miss seven league games for his new club at the start of the season, with a thigh injury.

However John-Jules is now back fit and amongst the goals as he scored his first goal for his new club yesterday against Port Vale.

The Arsenal loanee was subbed on in the 76th minute and it took him under 60 seconds to find the back of the net as he scored the winner to help his side move up the sixth in the table after 18 games played.

John-Jules has only made three appearances so far this season for Derby County with the first two coming late on off the bench. His third appearance was last night where he scored the winner despite only playing 14 minutes.

He’s accumulated only 38′ minutes during the first few months of the campaign, however after last night’s performance hopefully there’s a lot more opportunities to come for the young striker before the end of the season.

Last season, Tyreece John-Jules went on loan to Ipswich Town where he made 17 appearances, scoring three goals and recording one assist. The 22-year-old is looking to improve on those numbers in League One this season.

From an Arsenal point of view, it’s important John-Jules gets back to full fitness and playing football again, after so many injury issues in recent seasons. Hopefully he can kick on now and get the chance to fulfil his potential.
