RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins has taken to Twitter and said that it is expected that William Saliba will withdraw from the France national team squad for their upcoming fixtures in their upcoming UEFA Euros qualifying matches against The Netherlands and Ireland.
According to the journalist, Axel Disasi or Jean-Clair Todibo are in contention to replace him – with an official announcement expected soon.
Not only is this a huge blow for France, but there are ramifications for Arsenal as well. Arsenal face Crystal Palace in the English Premier League tomorrow and this news confirms that Saliba will definitely be out of that.
With no news coming out as of yet in regards to how long Saliba will be out for, Gunners’ fans will be hoping that the long term news is positive for the French centre back.
