
Declan Rice was a star in the making when playing in the West Ham u18’s back in 2015, according to former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Declan Rice is the main topic of conversation amongst Arsenal fans at the moment with a move to the Emirates Stadium on the cards for the England international. The Gunners have recently had their first bid rejected for the 24-year-old, however are expected to come in with an improved offer of over £100million very soon. It would make Rice the most expensive player in Arsenal’s history, surpassing Nicolas Pepe’s move of £72million.
Arsene Wenger once saw Declan Rice and knew he was going to go on a be. superstar. According to a past report in 2017, Arsène Wenger had been standing by one of the pitches at Arsenal’s training ground watching the U18s play West Ham, and he saw Declan Rice, who was 18 at the time, run the show from midfield.

Wenger immediately turned to one of his coaches and pointed out that the best player on the pitch was Declan Rice and that he had no doubt he was a real talent.
As time past, Declan Rice got more minutes in the West Ham first-team, became a regular starter and then inherited the captain armband from Mark Noble when the West Ham legend retired. He’s had an extremely impressive rise in his short career so far where he’s now destined for a move to a top Premier League club.
West Ham chairman David Sullivan admitted that Rice will be leaving the Hammers this summer with the club preparing for his departure. West Ham want over £100million for their captain.
