Arsenal’s potential Champions League 2023/24 opponents revealed with pot confirmed

Arsenal will be in pot two for the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League draw.

Following the weekends results across Europe, it’s now been confirmed Arsenal will be in Pot 2 for the 2023-24 Champions League group stage draw.

After seven years without Champions League football, the Gunners are back in Europe’s elite competition after finishing runners-up in the Premier League only to Manchester City.

The Gunners lead the way for the majority of the 2022/23 campaign, however just fell short towards the end but that doesn’t take away the progress Mikel Arteta’s side have made this season, topped with a Champions League place to look forward to in 2023/24.

Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid will all be kept away from the Emirates Stadium during the group stages of next seasons competition, as its been confirmed Arsenal will be in pot two. However the likes of Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli could all be drawn against Arsenal.

AC Milan confirmed their place in next season’s Champions League over the weekend, which guaranteed the pot Mikel Arteta’s side will be drawn out of on August 31 due to their strong UEFA coefficient ranking.

The final coefficients for the season are still to be confirmed but much of the draw is already taking shape, as shown below…

Projected Champions League draw pots

Pot 1: Manchester City, Roma/Sevilla, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli, Benfica.

Pot 2: Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, RB Leipzig, Porto.

Pot 3: RB Salzburg, AC Milan, Lazio, Crvena Zvedza.

Pot 4: Union Berlin, Lens.

Qualified teams with pot to be confirmed: Inter Milan (1 or 2), Feyenoord (1 or 3), Shakhtar Donetsk (2 or 3), Newcastle (3 or 4), Celtic (3 or 4), Real Sociedad (3 or 4).
