In preparation for the upcoming Copa America, Brazil’s national team manager, Dorival Jr, has announced the squad without Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus.

Alongside Jesus, is Manchester United midfielder Casemiro who has not also made the 23-man squad, both coming as a surprise to many. Jesus has endured a challenging season at Arsenal, marked by injuries and a lack of consistent form. With just one goal to his name in all competitions in 2024, Jesus finds himself overlooked for the prestigious tournament.

While Manchester United veteran midfielder Casemiro has faced criticism for recent performances. His struggles, notably against Crystal Palace, have led to doubts about his suitability for Premier League football. Analysts like Jamie Carragher have even suggested a potential move to leagues like the MLS or Saudi Pro League.
