Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard has reached out to Hollywood star Anne Hathaway after she went viral for celebrating his goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers in a recent clip.

As Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine gear up for the release of their upcoming film “The Idea of You” in May, the duo captured the attention of Arsenal fans with their enthusiastic response to Trossard’s goal against Wolves earlier this month.

During an interview on the TODAY show, Trossard shared a message in response to Hathaway and Galitzine’s celebration, expressing his appreciation for their support.

Both Hathaway and Galitzine are avid Arsenal supporters, and their excitement during Trossard’s goal was palpable. Galitzine’s fist pump and Hathaway’s delighted reaction captured the hearts of fans as they cheered on the Gunners.

This isn’t the first time Hathaway’s allegiance to Arsenal has been revealed, with Galitzine previously mentioning her fandom in an interview last month. Hathaway, known for her roles in blockbuster films like “Interstellar,” “Les Miserables,” and “The Dark Knight Rises,” adds to the list of celebrities linked with Arsenal this season, including Natalie Portman and Isla Fisher.

Trossard, clearly amused by the clip, shared it on his Instagram story and later responded directly to Hathaway, expressing his gratitude for her support and inviting her to the Emirates Stadium.

The Belgian said: “Hey Anne, I really loved your celebration the other day for my goal. Keep supporting us, and I’ll hopefully see you soon at the Emirates!”

Galitzine, in awe of Hathaway’s connection with the world of sports, labelled him a legend, while Hathaway admitted to feeling starstruck and shaking at the thought of interacting with athletes.

As Hathaway and Galitzine continue to promote their film, Arsenal fans eagerly await the possibility of seeing them at the Emirates Stadium, adding a touch of glamour to the team’s final game of the season against Everton on May 19th.
