According To Fabrizio Romano via his YouTube channel, agreeing new deals for William Saliba, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Charlie Patino is Arsenal’s priority going into 2023.
Arsenal have recently taken up the option to extend Bukayo Saka’s contract by a further 12 months to 2024. Arsenal triggered the additional year before the December deadline while finalising a longer-term deal for the 21-year-old remains a priority.
Arsenal also have activated similar clauses to extend the deals of William Saliba, also to 2024, and young midfielder Charlie Patino to 2025.
Gabriel Martinelli’s current contract doesn’t run out until 2024, however Arsenal have still set it as a priority to get the Brazilian tied down to a new long-term deal as soon as possible.
Gabriel Martinelli has recently underlined his commitment to The Gunners by saying “I’m very happy at Arsenal. I said it many times, this is my club, I love to be here, I love the city, I love everything about Arsenal. I want to stay, I’m very happy. I just need to get a pen.”
