Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has added a $80million investment to his ever-growing list of franchises this month.
Stan Kroenke continues to invest in real estate and is close to settling a multi-billion agreement in San Diego. This comes after the Arsenal owner recently completed the purchase of Malibu Village for another $81.5million.
Stan Kroenke became the majority shareholder of Arsenal Football Club in 2011. Following that in 2018, Stan Kroenke became the full owner of the Gunners after buying the remaining shares off of Alisher Usmanov for a reported £600million.
Since gaining full control of the club, Stan Kroenke along with his son, Josh Kroenke are slowly proving they have what it takes to get Arsenal back to the top. It’s been a slow process, but since appointing Mikel Arteta in December 2019, the club haven’t looked back.
Arsenal are set to have one of the biggest transfer windows in the clubs history this summer, with Stan Kroenke set to invest more money in order for the Gunners to put together an even stronger title challenge next season. However that hasn’t stopped Stan Kroenke investing elsewhere.

According to reports, Kroenke’s real estate group will invest in the project in San Diego which will see 4,000 new homes, a 450,000-square-foot arena, a 200-room hotel, and a 250,000 square feet of retail be built in the area.
San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria confirmed Kroenke’s involvement in a press release: “Today’s announcement of The Kroenke Group’s addition to the Midway Rising team underscores that San Diego is a world-class city that can attract significant investment in projects and enterprises that elevate the community for all our residents.”
Jason Gannon, of The Kroenke Group, also spoke highly of the investment by saying: “This project is an incredibly exciting opportunity for The Kroenke Group to make a profound impact in San Diego, and it lays a foundation for our future investment in the community.”
Kroenke controls the Gunners as part of his superior sports empire, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, which also owns a number of teams around the globe, including NBA side Denver Nuggets and NFL team Los Angeles Rams.
Both teams have had success recently and I’m sure Stan Kroenke is hoping Arsenal follow very soon.
