According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal are “lining up” a move for Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto.
The 19-year-old has impressed in his first campaign in the Premier League, following a €4.5m transfer from FC Zurich in summer 2022.
Coming through the Inter Milan academy, Gnonto has 5 G/A in only 12 starts in the Premier League this season.
Even before his summer move to Leeds United, Gnonto had already been capped for Italy at the age of 18. Gnonto currently has 8 caps for the Italian national team, scoring 1 goal.
The teenage sensation is almost certain to add to his international appearances in the upcoming international break; Gnonto has once again been selected by Roberto Mancini for the upcoming EURO 2024 qualifiers.

Able to play on either flank and as an attacking midfielder, Gnonto would add additional depth to Arsenal’s attacking force in multiple positions; as seen from previous acquisitions, versatility is a desirable characteristic towards Mikel Arteta.
The Italian will certainly not come cheap; in addition to signing from a fellow Premier League side, the report states competitors such as Manchester City, Chelsea, and Inter Milan are all said to be keen.
Arsenal would likely be forced to put up upwards of £31m for Gnonto, which would see Leeds gain a substantial profit on the player.
If Arsenal were to move forward with their pursuit of Wilfried Gnonto, this would line up with their youth transfer policy, and would bolster the already-forceful attacking prowess of the Gunners.
