Bukayo Saka has been one of the best players, not just for Arsenal, but in the Premier League so far this season which has been backed up by the fact he’s just been nominated for the PL player of the month for December.
The 21-year-old has scored six goals & got six assists in 17 league appearances so far this season and has played a major role in Arsenal finding themselves top of the Premier League at Christmas for the first time in 15 years.
Former Arsenal captain Tony Adams has told the Seaman Says podcast: “I think the player of the season is Saka. The kid is just phenomenal. I had a bit of a go at Gareth Southgate during the World Cup for taking him off. He’s every bit as good as Messi, Messi is obviously at the end of his career. Even when you question him and he missed his penalty at the Euros and he’s come back. Every time I see him he makes goals and scores goals. He’s a phenomenal footballer, the best player for England and the best player for the Arsenal.”
Not just for his club but Bukayo Saka also had a brilliant World Cup with his country. Saka registered three goals for England during their run to the quarter-finals in Qatar and stood out as one of the best players at the tournament.
As I posted on my Instagram earlier Bukayo Saka created the most chances out of all u21 players from Europe’s top five leagues throughout 2022. If you didn’t know how good of a year Bukayo Saka has had I think this stat puts it into some perspective.
The ‘starboy’ for a reason.
