The dream to win the Premier League title this season lives on for Arsenal as they received a massive boost following Liverpool’s draw at Aston Villa. With the race for the title heating up, the Gunners now eagerly await the outcome of the crucial clash between North London rivals Tottenham and Manchester City, which could potentially sway the title race in their favour.

Mikel Arteta’s men kept their title dreams alive with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday. However, Manchester City maintained their relentless pursuit of perfection with a commanding 4-0 win over Fulham the day before.

Despite Arsenal’s impressive form, their destiny in the title race is currently beyond their control. Yet, all eyes are on Tuesday night’s showdown at the New Tottenham Stadium, where the outcome could significantly impact Arsenal’s chances.

A win for Tottenham would put Arsenal in a commanding position heading into their final game against Everton, potentially putting the title within their grasp. Alternatively, a draw would still favour the Gunners, while a victory for Pep Guardiola’s side would see them edge ahead by two points.

As City host West Ham on the final day, they remain hopeful of securing the title on their own terms. However, speculation abounds regarding Tottenham’s intentions, with some suggesting they may roll over against City to thwart their arch-rivals’ title bid—an idea dismissed by Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.

Fortunately for Arsenal, Tottenham’s focus on securing Champions League qualification adds an extra dimension to the title race. With Spurs trailing Aston Villa by five points but still in contention for a top-four finish, their upcoming fixtures carry immense significance.

Following Villa’s failure to secure Champions League qualification after a dramatic 3-3 draw with Liverpool, Tottenham must now win both their remaining games and hope for favourable results elsewhere. This includes a daunting task against City, where victory is imperative to keep their Champions League hopes alive and potentially hand Arsenal a golden opportunity in the title race.
