Pressure mounts on Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag following a resounding defeat against Crystal Palace, with Arsenal fans advocating for his continuation in the role amidst growing speculation about his future.

In a disheartening display, an injury-plagued Manchester United suffered a 4-0 loss to a rejuvenated Crystal Palace side, masterminded by new manager Oliver Glasner. Goals from Michael Olise, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Tyrick Mitchell highlighted the gulf in class between the two teams, prompting fresh scrutiny of Ten Hag’s tenure.

While United’s hierarchy initially planned to give Ten Hag until the end of the season to prove his worth for a third term, recent results have spurred urgent reassessment. Former United striker Michael Owen called for Ten Hag’s dismissal, proposing current assistant manager Steve McClaren as an interim replacement.

While many United supporters resign themselves to Ten Hag’s imminent departure, Arsenal fans voice a contrasting sentiment, advocating for the former Ajax manager to be granted additional time in his current role. Their stance is particularly pronounced ahead of Arsenal’s clash with United at Old Trafford, where the Gunners seek to capitalize on their title ambitions.

Despite Arsenal’s less-than-stellar record at Old Trafford, optimism brews within the Arsenal camp, buoyed by United’s faltering confidence. However, the potential arrival of a new manager could inject uncertainty into the equation, offering the FA Cup finalists a chance at resurgence akin to Everton’s under Sean Dyche.

Amidst social media chatter, Arsenal supporters express wry commentary on the situation, juxtaposing Ten Hag’s predicament with the chaos engulfing London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham.

“I keep telling y’all that Ten Hag is better than Arteta,” wrote one fan, sarcastically, on X. “Give him time at United. Trust the process. Give him more money.”

“I’m Ten Hag IN, Poch IN and Ange IN,” wrote another Arsenal supporter, who also appeared to be enjoying the disarray engulfing London rivals Chelsea and Spurs. Another one wrote: “As an Arsenal fan, I’d love to see them handed 10 year contracts.”

Nevertheless, Erik Ten Hag remains resolute in his determination to steer Manchester United through the challenges ahead, acknowledging deficiencies in the squad while pledging to address them ahead of their next fixture.
