Reiss Nelson has taken his opportunities big time, when they’ve arisen so far in the Premier League this season.
He was introduced against Nottingham Forest in the first-half when Bukayo Saka went off with an injury and ended the game with two goals and an assist. He then came on against Bournemouth when the Gunners were losing at home and picked up an assist and then a 97th minute winner to secure Arsenal all three points.

Arsenal have opened negotiations with winger, Reiss Nelson over a contract extension.
I think it’s safe to say Reiss Nelson has earned his contract extension with his contributions this season, especially if Arsenal go on and win the Premier League for the first time in 19 years.
3 goals and 2 assists in the league for the Hale End product and he’s yet to start a game in the competition.
Should Nelson have been allowed to leave on a free transfer, several clubs would have been interested in snapping him up with OGC Nice, Brighton and Manchester United thought to be among them.
Nelson has been with Arsenal since 2007, when he was just eight years old. He has progressed through the academy, to the first team and is now a crucial player in terms of depth in Mikel Arteta’s squad this season.
With Champions League heading back to the Emirates Stadium next season, strength in depth will become even more important, as will Reiss Nelson.
The player has spent loan spells at both Hoffenheim and Feyenoord in recent years before this season.
Tying him down with a new deal makes a lot of sense, given his recent form.
