As per The Athletic and David Ornstein, Arsenal have reached an agreement over a new contract with academy prospect Myles Lewis-Skelly.

The 16-year-old midfielder has signed for an additional two years. Importantly, when Lewis-Skelly turns 17-years-old in September, he will be able to sign lengthier and more lucrative contracts.

The Hale End product has received multiple caps for the England youth international team; with his bursting runs from deep catching the eyes of Arsenal fans and Mikel Arteta.

Lewis-Skelly (#6) specializes in the runs from deep, Aaron Ramsey esque, in order to support the attack; notably starring in Arsenal’s 3-2 victory over Cambridge United to advance to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup.

The England youth international has trained with the first team on numerous occasions and has even featured for Mikel Arteta in a friendly over the World Cup break.
