Arsenal made a change in their line-up just ahead of kick-off against FC Nurnberg this afternoon.

Martin Odegaard was in line to start the first game of pre-season against FC Nurnberg this afternoon, however Arsenal’s captain picked up a slight knock in the warm up and Fabio Vieira replaced him ahead of the game.

The Norwegian had been left out as a precaution and the injury isn’t thought to be a serious one. The injury was a minor calf strain and we should see the player return to the pitch in the United States next week.

Gabriel captained the side in Martin Odegaard’s absence.

Arsenal will head to the United States on Sunday where they will continue their preparation ahead of the 2023/24 campaign which is set to get underway in just over 20 days time.
