Bukayo Saka has been arguably Arsenal’s most consistent performer this season with 22 goal contributions in 28 games for Mikel Arteta’s side in the Premier League. He’s started every league game for the Gunners so far this season, but is that about to change today…

There’s been rumours flying about this morning that Bukayo Saka isn’t going to start for Arsenal today & no this isn’t an April fools joke.

He wasn’t at London Colney yesterday. He didn’t train and he didn’t get his photo taken with his player of the month award, where as Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsdale both did.

He has travelled with the Arsenal squad for the game this morning, however he was ill and that’s why he wasn’t at London Colney yesterday.

It’s not injury related which is good news and he’s on the bench today so he’s expected to be back starting at Anfield next week.

Trossard starts against Leeds today in his place.
