The Metro reports that three Arsenal players who picked up knocks against Sporting Lisbon are winning their fitness races to face Crystal Palace in the English Premier League on Sunday.

According to the paper, Gabriel, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Leandro Trossard, who all suffered knocks on Thursday night, are winning the race to be fit for Sunday’s must-win game against the Eagles.

With news that Takehiro Tomiyasu is out for the season and William Saliba also out for Sunday, the news will be music to the ears of Mikel Arteta. All three players have become integral parts of Arteta’s squad, with Trossard particularly impressing in recent weeks as he’s hit the ground running since his January switch from Brighton & Hove Albion.

With Manchester City occupied with their FA Cup clash with Burnley earlier today, Arsenal can open up an 8 point lead in the table before City play their next game.

With the international break coming after Sunday’s match, manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping to leave the game against Palace unscathed and with another three points in the bag as the race for the Premier League title enters the home straight.

This will be the first game that Crystal Palace play after they sacked their manager, Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.

With the game already being a London derby, it sure is expected to be an intense match-up between the two sides.
