Mohamed Elneny picked up a knock to his knee in training last week, reason why he was unavailable for the North London Derby and it doesn’t seem like he’s back in full first-team training yet, however he could still return in time for the game this weekend.

Cedric Soares has also been absent from training with a muscle injury over the past few weeks, however according to reports he’s currently in talks over a move with Fulham which could be a factor in his absence. He’s not expected to be in the squad to face Manchester United this weekend.

Addionally, there are the longer-term absentees in Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Jesus, neither of whom are expected to return in time for the match against Manchester United this weekend.

However, Nelson is definitely not far away and he’s expected to be back in training shortly.

Adding Reiss Nelson & Leandro Trossard to Mikel Arteta’s attacking options will provide some much needed depth ahead of the busy schedule of games coming up for The Gunners.

The rest of Arsenal’s squad should be available for the weekend, though there are a few players at risk of suspension for the following Premier League game against Everton.

On the other side, Manchester United will be without Casemiro for that very same reason, as he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Crystal Palace in midweek.
