Arsenal will have a chance to advance to the quarter final of the Europa League today where Portuguese side, Sporting are the team standing in their way.
The big question is will Mikel Arteta rotate the side with game against Crystal Palace in mind. The game against the Eagles will be on Sunday afternoon, also at the Emirates Stadium.
The big question on every Arsenal fans mind… Will Gabriel Jesus start?
It would be the Brazilian’s first start for Arsenal since the last game before the World Cup, against Wolves away. Gabriel Jesus was deemed fit enough to make the bench last weekend away at Fulham. He came off the bench in 77th minute when the Gunners already had a very comfortable 3-0 lead.
Jesus immediately made in impact with his flair and ball control, and showed Arsenal fans what they had been missing on the pitch over the past few months but is Arsenal’s number nine ready to start?
Arsenal’s predicted line-up: Turner, Tomiyasu, Holding, Gabriel, Tierney, Jorginho, Xhaka, Odegaard, Vieira, Nelson, Trossard.
Sporting on the other side will be without their captain Sebastian Coates, and midfielder Hidemasa Morita, who both picked up a suspension in the first game. Sporting will also be weakened because of the injuries to former Arsenal player Héctor Bellerín, Daniel Bragança and their No.1 Antonio Adán, who picked up a nasty injury last encounter between the two teams.
Sporting predicted line-up: Israel, St.Juste, Inacio, Matheus Reis, Nuno Santos, Ugarte, Pedro Goncalves, Esgaio, Trincao, Paulinho, Edwards
Arsenal will go into this game as favourites, although their main striker, Gabriel Jesus is expected to start on the bench.
