The Arsenal player ratings against FC Nurnberg in the club’s first game of pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 campaign…
Aaron Ramsdale – 6.0 – Could have gone for a cup of tea during the first-half and the score would have been the same, that’s how little Aaron Ramsdale had to do.
Ben White – 7.0 – Quality pass to find Bukayo Saka before the goal & linked up well with both Saka and Fabio Vieira in the first-half. Good performance with the added competition of Jurrien Timber set to arrive.
William Saliba – 6.0 – First start since February which is so good to see. Solid performance with the little he had to do. Looked a little tired towards the end but that’s understandable.
Gabriel – 7.0 –Â The usual Gabriel performance. Solid at the back, dealt with everything and must be happy to have his centre-back partner in William Saliba back next to him. Wore the captain’s armband in Martin Odegaard’s absence.
Jakub Kawior – 7.0 – Looked very comfortable in the first-half playing the Zinchenko role. Played the inverted role very well.
Thomas Partey – 6.0 – Comfortable as ever in the midfield and reminded everyone what he can do in the first-half with Declan Rice set to arrive by Sunday.

Leandro Trossard – 7.0 –Â Started on the left-side of the midfield, next to Fabio Vieira and done really well. Linked up well with Reiss Nelson on the wing and looking forward to the Belgian starting more games in the middle going forward.
Fabio Vieira – 7.0 – Technically one of the best players on the pitch, just needs to cut out the few mistakes which I’m sure will come with more consistent game time. Played a great pass to Eddie who should have scored in the first-half.
Bukayo Saka – 8.0 – Different season, same result as Bukayo Saka scores again and was definitely Arsenal’s best player in the first-half. Great goal cutting inside with his left foot.

Eddie Nketiah – 6.0 –Â Relatively quiet game from Eddie, however he still could have scored a couple in the first-half. Good hold-up play at times.
Reiss Nelson – 7.0 –Â Linked up well with Leandro Trossard in the first-half and looks very confident on the ball. Excited to see what he can do this season now he’s signed a new contract.
Substitutes:
Karl Hein – 5.0 – Made the mistake for the goal as he passed to Jorginho who never had enough space to receive it.
Kieran Tierney – 6.0 – Solid performance, no mistakes.
Gabriel Jesus – 6.0 – Should have done better in the box after Balogun hit the post but overall done well. Played well with his back to goal.
Kai Havertz – 6.0 – Made his Arsenal debut and could have had a tap in if Gabriel Jesus made the pass early on in the second-half.
Cedric – 4.5 – Two corners taken that went straight out of play, one corner on the 80th minute mark was better and that’s the best he done.
Jorginho – 6.0 – Nothing he could do for the equaliser. Solid in the second-half.
Folarin Balogun – 5.5 – Should have scored twice, hit the post early in the second-half and rounded the keeper and missed late on. He’ll be disappointed.
Auston Trusty – 6.0 – First appearance in an Arsenal shirt. Solid performance, great block late on.
Ethan Nwaneri – 7.0 – Very promising performance from the 16-year-old, looked completely comfortable in the senior team.
Reuell Walters – 6.5 – Played 15 minutes. Incredible block at the end to keep the game level.
Myles Lewis-Skelly – 6.0 – Played 15 minutes.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home
a bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog.
An excellent read. I’ll definitely be back.
