Pep Guardiola spoke to the press on Tuesday ahead of the big title deciding game between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad on Wednesday night.

Speaking about the importance of the upcoming fixture, Pep Guardiola said:

“It’s a really important game because we can get points and they focus on what they have to do. We played two times this season and in the past as well. They have been really tight games and really difficult.

It’s really important. Not decisive. A lot of tough games for both sides but we can’t deny how important it is.

When you play against these types of teams they control everything. Arsenal always have incredible details and care with the ball, the players they select to play are of the biggest qualities and skills and I think Mikel brings a different dimension. They are so aggressive, they can go to Anfield against the team who has been the best in transition in recent years and they were better.”

Pep Guardiola also spoke about his former players Oleksandr Zincheko and Gabriel Jesus who joined Arsenal in the summer. The pair have helped Arsenal to the top of the Premier League and their experience from their time in Manchester is proving to be key for this young Arsenal side…

‘The club made the decision they believed they needed to take. Everyone agreed. The players wanted to leave, the club wanted to sell and the club wanted to buy. It’s more than just one person. They’re happy and we’re happy. We have no regrets.”

The game tomorrow is the biggest the Premier League has seen so far this season and could be the difference between lifting the Premier League trophy come May, or not.

Pep Guardiola has said it will not be an easy game for Manchester City, despite being played at the Etihad which is a ground Arsenal haven’t won at in the league since 2015.
