Martin Odegaard was named in the Arsenal starting line-up to face FC Nurnberg in the first game of pre-season last week, however had to drop out at the last minute through injury.

Fabio Vieira took the Norwegian’s place in the starting eleven and produced a decent performance in the 60 minutes that he was on the pitch.

The latest on Martin Odegaard’s injury is that he was left out against FC Nurnberg due to a minor calf strain picked up in the warm-up. However the injury wasn’t a serious one and the player was more left out as a precaution due to it being only the first friendly of pre-season.
