Jeff Stelling has made his prediction for Arsenal’s trip to Anfield today with the Gunners looking for their first win at the ground in 11 years.
Arsenal go into the game on the back of a seven game winning in the Premier League which has helped the Gunners maintain their eight point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
However that lead was cut to five points yesterday after City’s resounding victory against Southampton.
On the other hand, Liverpool are without a win in their last four games in all competitions with Jurgen Klopp’s currently sitting in eighth place in the Premier League. However the reds still have the fourth best home record in the league this season and Arsenal will have to be at their very best if they want to win an Anfield this afternoon.
While making his Super Six prediction, Jeff Stelling said Arsenal that have the opportunity to make a statement today and he backs the Gunners to do just that with a 1-2 victory at Anfield.
Jeff Stelling on the match:
“Arsenal have another opportunity to make a title statement at Anfield as they face Liverpool, and I think they will do just do that. It doesn’t matter how they get over the line, but Mikel Arteta’s side will notch a scrappy but valuable three points to maintain their momentum.”
