
The 22/23 Premier League season is finally over and a reflection of The Gunners efforts this season is duly needed. This season fans alike witnessed a true David and Goliath story between Manchester City and Arsenal.
A battle that went right to The Wire and as learned in Highlander, There Can Only Be One. While Arsenal missed out on the league, this squad deserves its flowers. For Whom The Bell Tolls, Arsenal certainly had Pep’s Citizens alarm bells ringing.
This season, Arsenal spent 247 days at 1st place proving these Top Gunners are Mavericks. Ashburton Army brought the atmosphere to every home fixture this season and by Order of The Phoenix ̶D̶u̶m̶b̶l̶e̶d̶o̶r̶e̶’̶s̶ Arteta’s Army valiantly outperformed most rivals expectations.
After nearly seven years away, Arsenal have finally returned to The Elite. These Young Bucks are desperate to prove themselves against the Big Dogs in the UCL once more. A sleeping Iron Giant has been awoken and Arteta’s Bloodline deserves to be Acknowledged.
26 wins, 6 draws and 6 losses in the league that saw Arsenal go from 5th last season to 2nd in a space of a year. Arteta started this season reminding everyone this was Phase 3 out of 5, Jesus Turned Water into Wine and Brought Miracles to this campaign, A Xhaka redemption and record matching seasons for both Gabriel Martinelli who matched Firmino’s 15 goals and The King of The North Martin Ødegaard who conducted 15 Symphonies to match KDB’s NPG record.
On Merlin’s Beard not one person would have expected Martin Ødegaard player of the year shouts. An Ode to Joy, Ludwig Van Beethoven would be proud of this Conductor.
The Gunners have had some intense games to remember. The Silence of The Lambs ending Liverpool’s league campaign before it had a chance to even begin. The Thriller at Villa and the last minute winner from Reiss Nelson against Bournemouth was The Cherry on Top to name a few.
This may be the end of this chapter but it is not The End of the Story. 74 days till the 23/24 season. Trust in the Process.
