Arsenal face arguably their biggest game of the Emirates era so far tonight as they take on Manchester City in a top of the table Premier League clash.

Arsenal currently sit three points clear at the top of the table, however the Gunners will drop to second on goal difference if they are defeated tonight by Pep Guardiola’s side.

If Mikel Arteta can outsmart his former teacher tonight then Arsenal will go six points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.

Tonight is a massive game for both teams and could be an early indicator on who will go on to become Premier League champions at the end of the season.

Former Arsenal striker, Alan Smith has had his say on how he thinks the game will go & gives his prediction ahead of tonight’s game via Sky Sports News:

“You can look at the last two games and say Arsenal aren’t in form, but they’ve been sensational across the whole season and I think there’s a confidence within the team, I don’t think there’s a fear factor. They’re not intimidated anymore by teams like Manchester City.

I think back to the performance last season, for the first 45 minutes against City was as good as I’ve seen them play for about 15 years.

The Arsenal players know they’re a good team, they know individually they’re good players and they know they’re more than capable of going head-to-head with those City players tonight.

I don’t think Arsenal have a problem psychologically at all, it’s just about who can produce the best football on the night.

I think Haaland will get his goal but the Gunners will win 2-1.”
