We head into the month of June following the end of the Premier League season which brings the upcoming internationals for some Arsenal stars.
The international games vary from friendlies to tournaments like the U21 European Championship, EURO Qualifiers, UEFA Nations League, CONCACAF Nations League and AFCON – to help all football fans get through until the new season starts.
Arsenal as usual have a good amount of players called up to play for their countries. The Gunners had an excellent campaign and a lot of players showcased their abilities and potential which led to them being called up to represent their respected nations. However there are a few players who missed out too.
William Saliba (France), Oleksandr Zinchenko (Ukraine), Mohamed Elneny (Egypt), Takehiro Tomiyasu (Japan), Gabriel Martinelli (Brazil) and Nicolas Pepe (Ivory Coast) have all been left out due to injuries. They will not be participating in any of the upcoming international fixtures but are expected to return for Arsenal’s pre-season games ahead of next season.
Leandro Trossard is another player who misses out on an international call-up. He had to undergo an operation after the end of the Premier League season. While his return date is uncertain, he is expected to be back in time for Arsenal’s pre-season fixtures in July.
Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Magalhaes have also been left out of the Brazil squad. However, Brazil might be rotating to test out other players as they are playing friendlies. There are no reported injuries to either of the players.
