As Arsenal are set to bolster their attacking options this upcoming transfer window, Eddie Nketiah is a player who may be affected ahead of next season.

The Hale end graduate has seen his game time heavily hindered this season when the likes of Gabriel Jesus and others are fit. After having signed a long-term contract last summer due to his sublime performances during the last few months of the 21/22 campaign there was the potential hope of more game time being offered.

Similar to last campaign Eddie was able to come in handy for Mikel Arteta’s side during the absence of key players in the months of January and February. Although he has 30 appearances to his name in the Premier League this could be deceiving as many have come through being a substitute.

Eddie Nketiah started every Europa League group stage game for Arsenal, however in the Premier League he only started 9 games which all came after the World Cup, during the period Gabriel Jesus was out through a knee injury. The 22/23 Premier League season has also seen Nketiah produce one fewer goal (4) in comparison to last season (5).

Nketiah’s impact during specific periods of the season can not be underestimated as the 23-year-old stepped up big time in Gabriel Jesus’ absence. However at the age of 23 the British talent will most certainly be eager to increase his game time and the chances of this occurring at Arsenal continues to decrease especially considering Mikel Arteta’s side will be back competing in the Champions League next season too.

Although there aren’t any indications the player wants to leave Arsenal this summer, there most definitely will be many suiters if there was a change of mind. The likes of Brighton and Brentford are two clubs who would benefit from adding Nketiah to their squad & have both enquired about the Eddie Nketiah recently.

Brighton being a club who play progressive football whilst creating countless chances. Brentford are also set to be missing Ivan Toney for 8 months due to his ban and this will open the door for a new striker to join the West London outfit.

The most likely option would see Eddie Nketiah stay another season at Arsenal as Arteta will not look to offload a valuable squad player ahead of next season. A player who has proved time after time that his talent is undeniable when called upon.

As the transfer window beckons more shall be revealed as to where the career of Nketiah is heading however as of now nothing can be taken for certain.
