As the footballing campaign is heading towards the final chapter of the season with 10 Premier League games remaining, the Gunners are attempting to close in on their first league title since 2004.
The title race between Arsenal and Manchester City is one which is proving to be a blockbuster thus far. Head to head. It is proving ever so pivotal for Arsenal to further their lead at the top of the table before the hugely anticipated clash between the two sides on April 26th.
Arsenals next three games could set them in good stead…
After the international break, Arsenal host Leeds before traveling up to Liverpool on the 9th of April. Arsenal go into the game at the Emirates Stadium on a six game winning run in the Premier League which is the best run they’ve put together all season, at such a vital time. Pressure? What pressure?
The stakes will be huge at Anfield as Mikel Arteta’s side aim to grab six points off Liverpool this season after the cracking encounter many months ago at the Emirates. The run of four games will end away to East London side West Ham United. Another London rival awaits which stands in between the prestigious league title.
In all three of these reverse fixtures Arsenal were able to gain a maximum point success of 12/12. Mikel Arteta’s side will most definitely be looking to match something close this time around as we head in April.
The pressure is on Manchester City now after Arsenal went eight points clear at the top of the Premier League after defeating Crystal Palace on the weekend. However, City have been in this position many times before over the last few years. Arsenal are new to it. With the pressure mounting, City will know how to handle it.
Arsenal are the youngest team in the league, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing in such an intense title race. They might not have been here before, like Manchester City, however they’re fearless.
With Arsenal gunning for greatness the pressure is certainly on however pressure makes diamonds and it is now that we’ll find out if this current Arsenal squad are truly made of gems…
